Imagine you have a family emergency, or you have a function where you must be away from home and cannot take your pet. Now, ask: is a kennel what you want?

I offer a family home environment, as close to yours as we can make it, a home away from home for your pet to stay while you cannot look after him or her.

You and I discuss ahead of time your pet's routines, likes and dislikes, so that these can be maintained while you are away. We arrange a convenient appointment time to meet for a personal interview and determine if my home will suit your needs, in advance of your pet's stay.

Please complete and bring this Drop Off Form with you to your interview.

My sincere goal is to accommodate whatever your pet needs so that your pet receives the best of care without being kenneled. Unless I have your permission, your pet will not likely be left alone during your absence.

My concept is that of a pet hotel, with marvelous room service and the same attention you would receive if you were at a spa retreat, where pampering is paramount. Client's specific preferences and needs are kept on file. Pet stress reduction is a key component of my care.

Shots must be up to date.
A veterinarian certificate may need to be provided on request.

Daily 7 am to 7 pm $20
Overnight $15
Part care $5 per hour
Daywalks $15 per 1/2 hr.
Daycare, your home Negotiable

I am located near the Brydon Park conservation ponds and its 9-acre forest.
I make every effort to have your pet walk 40 minutes on-leash in the early morning, afternoon, and take a short before bedtime pee. With your permission, I will take your pet in the car to the Off-Leash dog park for a great social fun run.

Every attempt is made to maintain your pet's feeding and treat schedule so that you can be sure that when you return from your outing they have not been spoiled. [Well, you really can expect me to spoil them a lot, but not with foods you don't want them to have; only with the treats you provide.]

Once again, your pet's needs rule. If necessary, I will sleep in the same room as your pet so that he or she will not become anxious by being alone in a strange environment.

I am also available for daywalks and pet checkups while you are away from your home at work, a particularly appropriate service if you have a young animal that must stay alone all day. Half hourly rates are available for regular walking of your pet on a scheduled basis from your home.

I have a lifetime of experience with dogs, and treat all dogs with empathy and respect.
I have shown and bred dogs, and am able to continue with any training that your pet is currently receiving so that he or she will not experience confusing commands.

I recommend that all small dogs be crate trained early on in their life. If your pet has a crate, I would appreciate if you brought it when they came for their stay.

Crating is only intended for nighttime sleeping, you may rest assured your pet will not be caged.
